Dolphin Neurostim™

Body Kneads offers pain relief and healing services with the Dolphin Neurostim™ and MPS Therapy. It combines the principles of acupuncture and neurology with microcurrent stimulation to provide highly effective, NON-EVASIVE, all-natural relief from chronic pain, and stress/anxiety, and can aid in scar release.

What is the Dolphin Neurostim™?

The Dolphin Neurostim™ is the world’s first hybrid device specifically designed for the treatment of chronic AND acute soft tissue pain. It applies brief, concentrated microcurrent impulses to specific treatment points that naturally reduce nervous system stress and cortisol, relaxing muscle tone and releasing the body’s natural pain killers, endorphins. This multi-pronged effect on the body’s nervous, muscular, and endocrine systems is the reason why the Dolphin Neurostim™ works so quickly and effectively with many chronic pain conditions.

MPS Therapy

MPS Pain Therapy

The application of the Dolphin to key acupuncture/trigger points. It combines the principles of Western neurology, stress management, integrative dentistry, and scar therapy with Eastern acupuncture philosophies.

MPS therapy reduces stress, has helped patients relax, and documented 75-80% improvement in pain relief & functional outcomes.

MPS can be applied prior to a massage, manual mobilization, or any exercise program for significantly accelerated patient healing & functional outcomes. As a stand-alone modality or adjunctively combined with other therapies, MPS is difficult to beat using conventional modalities for pain relief.

Vagal Nerve Therapy

There are 12 cranial nerves in the body. They come in pairs and help link the brain with other areas of the body, such as the head, neck, and torso. The vagus nerve, which splits into two branches are the longest cranial nerves, running from your brain to your large intestine.

What is the Vagus Nerve?

The vagus nerve, also known as the vagal nerves, are the main nerves of your parasympathetic nervous system. This system controls specific body functions such as digestion, heart rate, and immune system. These functions are involuntary, meaning you can’t consciously control them.

Dolphin Vagus Nerve Stimulation

Dolphin VNS is a hybrid form of Vagal Nerve Stimulation that applies a unique low-frequency (Hz) DC microcurrent stimulation to the ear. It delivers unique VNS stimulus throughout the entire vagus nerve track guaranteeing a much deeper and stronger vagal tone enhancement than traditional VNS approaches.

What is the function of the Vagus nerve?

  • Digestion, mucus and saliva production
  • Heart rate and blood pressure
  • Breathing and reflex actions
  • Immune response
  • Anti-inflammatory function
  • Mood
  • Skin and muscle sensations
  • Speech
  • Taste
  • Urine output

What are the signs of vagus nerve problems?

  • Abdominal pain and bloating
  • Acid reflux, nausea, and vomiting
  • Changes to heart rate, blood pressure, or blood sugar
  • Difficulty swallowing or loss of gag reflex
  • Dizziness or fainting
  • Hoarseness, wheezing, or loss of voice
  • Loss of appetite, feeling full quickly, or unexplained weight loss

Concussion & Brain Recovery Therapy

Understanding concussion

A concussion is among the most common but less serious types of traumatic brain injury (TBI). This condition results from a violent blow or blunt force applied to the head causing a sudden disruption in the Reticular Activating System (RAS) in the brain. Located in the middle of the brain, the RAS helps regulate the sense of consciousness and awareness. It also plays a role in helping you focus on details while ignoring unimportant information.

In a head injury that results in a concussion, your brain is jolted or moved out of its normal position in a short period of time. This leads to a disruption in the electrical activities of your brain cells, particularly the RAS.

Immediate symptoms of concussion or mild traumatic brain injury usually resolve after a few days. However, in some sufferers, these symptoms persist long after the injury with a period that can range from weeks to months (or even years). This is a condition known as post-concussion syndrome (PCS). PCS symptoms are often recurrent and can greatly affect the quality of life.

Treating post-concussion syndrome

Medical acupuncture is known to help sufferers by tapping directly into the brain’s autonomic nervous system (ANS). When applied to trigger points, it sends concentrated, low-frequency DC micro-current stimulation for optimal pain relief. It also helps release scar tissue and adhesions. Overall, it’s a simple, non-invasive, and effective treatment for post-concussion syndrome pain.

In this, the patient receives DC-EA treatments, which are applied bilaterally to previously identified acupuncture-trigger points, which are along the cranial surgical scars.  Two Dolphin Neurostim devices, at a low frequency, introduce concentrated microcurrent stimulation at 30-second intervals.

Scar Release Therapy

Understanding scars

Scars are universal and take on many forms from surgical, broken bones, sprained joints, torn muscles, inflammation, or any areas that are injured with trauma. Emotional events are also considered scars.

We all accumulate scars and traumas throughout our lives, and they impact our bodies in many negative ways.

The pain and health issues we have in our older years may be directly related to the number and severity of the scars we accumulate over time!

Scar Release Therapy

Scar Release Therapy (SRT), is a clinically tested solution for reducing the ill-effects scars have on our bodies. SRT applies Microcurrent Point stimulation (MPS), which increases inter-cellular metabolism, protein synthesis, and healing functioning to reawaken the skin’s ability to self-generate.

Scar Release Therapy is painless, and visible changes in scar appearance are observed in real-time. Once a scar has been released there is fascia release & stress reduction, increasing blood circulation and lymph drainage. Scar Release Therapy is highly recommended for treating scars on your body quickly and efficiently.

C-Section Scar Release Therapy

C-Section scars impact the body by restricting or binding the fascia, muscles, nerves, bones, organs, and systems. They block the movement of circulation and energy which can interfere with health and wellness. Scars cause sympathetic nervous system up-regulation and act as stress agonists, creating an environment for sickness and pain.

Release C-Sections & Improve Health

PAIN is only the start. Stress, adhesions, and fascia restrictions are also the results of C-Sections. SRT is proven to deliver 82.52% pain relief after a single application.

Negative Impact of Scars:

  • Chronic Pain
  • Activate Stress
  • Injure Fascia
  • Impede Lymph Flow
  • Restrict Functional Movements
